What is an email QR code?
An email QR code opens the phone's mail app with the recipient, subject, and message body already filled in. The person scanning just reviews and taps send — no address to type and no subject to remember.
It uses the standard mailto: format, which every modern phone and email client understands. The address and message are encoded into a static image, so nothing is stored on a server and the code works forever.

Does it work with all email apps?
It uses the standard mailto: format, which iOS Mail, Gmail, Outlook, and most clients support. The phone opens its default mail app.

Is the email address visible in the code?
